Prom Party
The Prom’ Party is a musical event. It takes place on July 15 and August 15 on the Promenade des Anglais. The evenings are closed in beauty by a large fireworks launched at sea.
Nice Jazz Festival

La Fête de la Saint-Pierre
This is an annual event. It takes place on June 30. This tradition is celebrated in the Port district by all Nice fishermen. On St. Peter’s Day, they gather at the church of Gesù for a large mass in honour of the patron saint – protector of fishermen – and then go to Ponchettes beach where they celebrate. They burn the boat of the poorest of them and offers him a new one.
Fête des mai
This traditional festival celebrates, on the last Sunday of March, the arrival of spring in the gardens of the monastery of Cimiez. It also celebrates the cougourdon, a non-edible vegetable of the cucurbit family. Waterproof after drying, it is used as a kitchen utensil but its original shape has also inspired many craftsmen and musicians. This international sporting event takes place in April. It is a semi-marathon, a 21.1 kilometre run. The race begins on the Promenade des Anglais and ends on the Quai des Etats-Unis. Much more than a simple sporting event, the Nice half marathon is a great moment of celebration, with music, animations, costumes… And one of the highlights of this event is the paella party to which all participants are invited. And the public too. Sporting or not, the Nice Half Marathon is an event not to be missed!
Iron Man
This is an international triathlon competition: 3.8km of swimming, 180km of cycling and 42.195km of running, or 225 kilometres of running. The sporting event takes place in June. The athletes will start from the Centennial Beach, in the clear waters of the Mediterranean to complete a 3.8 km course divided into two loops. The bike trail is a real gem: it takes athletes to the heart of the hinterland of Nice and leads them through picturesque villages. It offers them panoramic landscapes of great beauty. The race will be organized in 4 round trips along the mythical Promenade des Anglais.
Yoga Day
June 21 is the “International Day of Yoga”. This well-being discipline is celebrated in Nice during the Breathe As One festival. The festival takes place on Sunday 17 June in the beautiful Phoenix park of Nice, facing the sea. It offers a day of relaxation during yoga classes. Les Régates de Nice
This competition takes place in Baie des Anges in September. They bring together old sailing ships that have been incredibly preserved and made the history of the port of Nice since 1879 and, internationally, from 1886.
